Designed for the maritime environment the Stabilized Enclosure Model is mounted on a boat and provides stabilized images. The system is commonly used by the coast guard for reconnaissance or drug trafficking detection activities. It is also used as a navigation aid due to the high quality stabilized imagery.
The system contains a 5 axes stabilized platform within a ruggedized housing that enables stable images from infrared and/or CCD cameras to be viewed/ post processed. Due to the quality of the environmental housing the systems performance is not affected by the weather or day/night.
Post processing may involve the use of automatic targeting software, recording on an extended play Digital Video Recorder or display within other systems such as on the unit which shows latitude and longitude of both the vessel and its target. A data transmission unit can be also installed, if required.
The stabilized enclosure comes in three sizes, the optimum size being determined by user application and physical constraints associated with vessel location.
